Welcome
I firmly believe that yoga is suitable for everyone.

Since the essence of yoga encompasses both body
and mind, there is no "right" or "wrong" about how to approach it, or which aspects of yoga you may find
most appealing.

Before any actual pose comes curiosity:
"how will my body and mind respond?"

There's only one way to find out, and you're already
here... So, here's my invitation to give yourself the gift
of yoga today!

My Journey & Ethos

2018, and I'd just turned 50.
After years of trying to build a career as an actor, but with precious little to show for my efforts,
a re-invention was needed. I'd already been practising yoga for nearly 6 years, but I was yet to learn how to harness my practice towards being kinder to myself. After re-evaluating my ideas of creativity and "success" and where to direct my talents next, I was finally ready to train as a yoga teacher and welcome a new chapter in my life. I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Flow-based training with Yoga London in October 2019, and my 500 hours in the summer of 2022.
As a teacher I avoid getting stuck in any particular style, or ideology. Your spiritual beliefs or
lack of them are your business entirely, and I do not proselytize mine. I've recently made the decision to eschew the Sanskrit names for the poses, as this may feel alienating or unnecessarily mystical.

During practice, I offer some gentle hands-on adjustments within mutually agreed boundaries, but
prefer not to interfere too much with your own process and discoveries.

Dare to leave concerns about strength and flexibility at the door: the whole point is to work on them in order to discover and develop new abilities on top of what you already can do. Yoga is a discipline, but let's make it a joyful one without any sense of punishment, or futile quest for "perfection"! I'm keen for you to discover your way to reap the full benefits of your practice, thus steadily working towards a stronger and more resilient body, and a less cluttered mind.

Every day you practise is different. Every day I teach is different.
The journey continues...
